Microneedling FAQs

Is it safe to microneedle at home?

YES. At home microneedling is designed for comfort, ease and frequency of use. The needles are shorter needles than you would see in a salon or clinic. This means less pain and little to no down time, meaning you can microneedle more often. And you can do it in your PJs! Anything that can be done in your jammies gets a thumbs up from us!

Does microneedling hurt?

On a scale of 1 to a Brazilian Wax... -2!! It feels slightly tingly but it doesn't draw blood or damage the skin in any way.

Why should I use a Dermaroller?

You're probably spending a fortune on skincare but you're not getting the results you were promised. With regular use of our dermaroller, you will see better, faster results from your skincare products.

How do I fit microneedling into my skincare routine?

You can microneedle at least 2-3 times a week so it can become part of your regular routine. It's best done at night time as this is when the skins natural renewal process takes place. Use your Dermaroller in conjunction with your usual skincare products. When you apply your serum or moisturiser within the first 5 minutes after rolling, they'll be far more effective.

How often should I use my Dermaroller to see results?

We recommend using our Dermaroller at least 2-3 times a week and each treatment should be 8 minutes long. Divide your face into four sections and roll over each section for 2 minutes at a time, vertically, horizontally and diagonally.

How long will results from microneedling last?

Results are profound and guaranteed with consistency and continued use. If you microneedle 2-3 times a week and stick to your daily skincare routine, making sure you keep your skin super hydrated, your results will last.

Is there anywhere I shouldn't use my Dermaroller?

You can use our Dermaroller on your face - forehead, cheeks and chin, neck and décolleté. Avoid using it on open wounds, active acne or raised surfaces such as moles and eyelids.

Can I use my Dermaroller under my eyes?

Yes you absolutely can. You can gently roll under your eyes to reduce crows feet, fine lines and wrinkles.

When will I see results from using my Dermaroller?

Most of our customers see and feel a difference in their skin 24 hours after their first session, however skin regeneration is likely to take place over 1-3 months. We recommend rolling at least 2-3 times a week.

Do I need to replace my Dermaroller head?

You don't need to replace the head but you will need to replace the roller every 4-6 months.

How do I clean my Dermaroller?

You can clean your Dermaroller using just warm water. You don't need to use alcohol or a sanitising spray to clean it. Simply submerge the head of your roller in warm water for a few mins, pat dry and return to its case.

Will microneedling work for acne?

We don't advise using your Dermaroller over active acne, however it is exceptionally good for clearing up blemishes, pitting and scarring. Learn how here
